Reason and Emotion Education

 Today the academic disciplines are multifarious, need students work hard to apprehend the central meanings of them. If a student learns a major boldly, superficially, he or she will not be an expert or an important person in the society. Existing education systems must teach students sufficient capability about reasoning and logical thinking through extensive training and various courses. We know a student should learn mathematics, Chinese, foreign language in his or her preliminary education stage. Thus the student can have some reasoning and logical thinking, he or she knows how to count and calculate, how to express oneself, how to speak with foreigners. Those are simple knowledge to communicate with others smoothly, if the student haven’t access to those, he or she may not make good career in the society; on the other hand he or she can explore emotions deeply, can know himself of herself deeply, the destiny for him or her is still the same.

After the basic education, higher lever education systems provide students more concepts, theories which need them think over and meditate without any emotions. Students tend to be busy in passing through examinations. The rigid aims are always that high scores are victories, no matter how they attain these. With these trends our society trends to neglecting students’ emotions, and causes some severe psychological problems. Some students could not express themselves normally or suitably. These obstacles become their chains to get on with others, and become more explicit with their growing up. So we must acknowledge that the emotion education has its unique function, which can not be replaced by the logical or fixed theories. The students who can explore their emotions fully can express themselves fully also. So they will benefit from this education.

But we must comprehend the center of education and can’t depart from it. The spare time or lazy activities are few and few today. Most jobs need employees focus all their minds on some facts, which give them seldom space to image or express their moods. Even though the former students have comfortable jobs or higher positions they must continue to learn many, such as domestic or foreign situations, emergent events, professional discoveries, new invents, to sustain their existing positions or find an elevation.

So what to study is a problem for many adults, one who can solve this correctly will have promising future. We all can image our future without any limitation, individually, but when we execute our futures actually we must put them on the substantial bases, such as reasonable or logical knowledge. Although it is a little sorry that we need serious thinking all day, successes and futures are based on the objective facts and realities. We can’t change histories just like we can’t change reasons or logics, we must accept them and utilize them.
